Recorded at the tail end of my time with Chasing Gray, this was my first foray into the world of the singer/songwriter. Engineered by Rob Ignazio and recorded in Boston and Somerville, MA.
Some of the songs on this album were originally intended for Chasing Gray. Some were written during the bands breakup. Many of the songs from this album still make my regular setlist rotation.

James Kinne has reached that plateau on his first solo release, Between. Kinne composed, arranged and played all the instruments (save some backing vocals). That would spell doom for most musicians but Kinne's talent and experience shines through on well-crafted songs that reveal an intimate look into the heart and mind of this singer/songwriter. Acoustic-based with flavors of electric mixed in, the guitar is the driving force with tasteful drum complements reminiscent of Toad the Wet Sprocket yet less sorrowful/dark and more readily accessible.
